AMN accuses the governing system of the institution of the political police in Moldova
„Moldova Noastra” Alliance (AMN) asserts that the governing system institutes in Moldova the political police, Serafim Urechean, the leader of AMN, declared on Thursda, at the plenary sitting of the Parliament, DECA-press transmits.
He said that the mayors from the republic were forced by the police to report about any trip of the opposition leaders in the territory. At the same time, Serafim Urechean asserts that the representatives of the Information and Security Service (ISS) are trying to be present at the meetings in the territory of the opposition parties and brought forward a definite example in this context. “Recently, n Glodeni, at a party reunion, I had to take the representative of ISS out of the room”, he mentioned. Serafim Urechean proposed the organization of parliamentary hearings in the problem of indications given by president Vladimir Voronin to the Information and Security Service to control how the parties, press and nongovernmental organizations are controlled. He specified that the minister of finances must come to the Parliament with some information about the financing of parties, NGO and press at present ; the minister of justice and the general prosecutor, who would say how the order given by the president are related to legal norms ; the ISS director, who would speak about how they execute these orders. // DECA-Press Publication date: 22 February 2008 Source: Archive
