The Constitutional Court will make a decision about a law project which prohibits the head of the state to be the leader of a party
The Constitutional Court (CC) will make the final decision regarding the law project about the improvement of the Constitution which prohibits the head of the state to be the leader of a party, DECA-press Agency transmits.
This project was elaborated by deputies from the parliamentary faction of the Democratic Party (PD), but it was signed by deputies from other factions too. Deputies assert that the head of the state must be a non-political, respected by everyone, a president of all, and not of a single party. PD is concerned with this problem in the last few years. In 2005, the refuse of the Communist Party for the function of president was one of the requirements issued by the PD deputies in exchange of their vote for the re-election of Vladimir Voronin for the second presidential mandate. // DECA-Press Publication date: 19 February 2008 Source: Archive
