Untila: the communist majority from the Parliament refuses to examine the law project according to which March 2nd could be the Day of the Defender of the Country
The prime-deputy-president of „Moldova Noastra” Alliance (AMN), Veaceslav Untila, considers the communists' refuse to introduce on the working agenda of the Parliament for the next two weeks a decision elaborated by him and his faction-mater, Alexandru Lipcanu, which declares March 2nd the Day of the Defender of the Country as unexplainable.
„We have elaborated this project of decision a year ago. The project is kept on the shelves of the Permanent Bureau of the Parliament without being discussed, which is a violation of all legal norms”, the deputy declared for DECA-press Agency. He mentioned that this attitude is a king of intimidation of those who have faught for the integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova. „At that moment, when the country needed them, ten thousand soldiers faught for te Republic of Moldova's integrity and sovereignty. After that, everyone forgot about them. Now, they are not compensated even morally”, Untila also declared. The prime-vice-president of AMN considers that „it is the moral duty of the current Parliament to prove some political will and adopt this law project”. // DECA-Press Publication date: 19 February 2008 Source: Archive
