Deputy Dumitru Braghis obtained last year incomes of nearly 50 thousand euros, while the speaker Marian Lupu - nearly 18 thousand euros
After a week since the launching of the campaign „Avere la vedere” (Display your incomes), initiated by the anti-corruption supplement OBIECTIV, the first two officials accepted to publish the entire declaration about their incomes and property in 2007, DECA-press transmits.
According to a press release of the Independent Press Association (IPA), the first one to have sent the scanned copy of the income statement for the last year on the email address obiectiv@api.md was the president of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. According to this statement, in 2007, the speaker obtained an income of 182748 lei (11075 euros) at his working place, but he also gained 113420 lei (6874 euro) from „securities, real estate and shares in the capital of economic agents”. The second official to have accepted to display his incomes and property is the deputy Dumitru Braghis. He included in the statement both, the incomes obtained in 2007, and the goods owned by him at this moment. Thus, Dumitru Braghis declares that last year, he gained from his working place 118180,98 lei (7162 euros) and an additional income of 705000 lei (42727 euros) after having sold his car and a piece of land. The campaign „Avere la vedere”, initiated by the anti-corruption supplement OBIECTIV, goes on. „The politicians, civil servants, other officials who consider they have nothing to hide from people and encourage the principle of transprency, are welcome to publish their income and property statement entirely, placing it on the web-page of IPA and Anticorruption Alliance”, the press release of IPA also says. The anti-corruption supplement OBIECTIV is edited by IPA in common with the Anticorruption Alliance. It is diffused by 17 national and local newspapers, with a number of nearly 85000 copies. OBIECTIV is edited within a project financed by the representative of Eurasia Foundation to Moldova, due to the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Swiss Agency for International Cooperation and Development (SIDA/ASDI). // DECA-Press Publication date: 08 February 2008 Source: Archive
