Only eight parties were interested in the elections from Gagauzia
Only eight political parties from Moldova were interested in the elections from the Gaguzian People's Assembly. The elections are scheduled for March 16th, DECA-press Agency informs.
The Communist Party was most of all interested in this problem. This one proposed 22 candidates for 35 mandates of deputy. The interest of other parties was much lower than the one of the communists. The second position after the communists is occupied by the Democratic Party with 6 candidates, followed by the social-political movement „Ravnopravie” – 4 candidates, „Moldova Noastra” Alliance – 3 candidates, the Republican People's Party – two candidates. Such factions as: the Agrarian Democratic Party from Moldova, the Social Democratic Party from Moldova and the Socialist Party from Moldova issued only per one candidate.
