Cooperation between Moldova and OSCE considered in Chisinau
The cooperation between Moldova and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the settlement of the Transnistrian crisis have been considered in Chisinau within the meeting between Parliamentary Speaker Marian Lupu and Head of OSCE Mission to Moldova Philip Remler.
According to the Parliamentary Section with Mass-Media, Lupu mentioned that Moldova opts for the development of a constructive dialog with the OSCE, which represents an important forum in finding common and lasting solutions to the regional conflicts. Marian Lupu reiterated the willingness of the Parliament to have a permanent cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Moldova in issues which refer to the Transnistrian conflict, consolidation of the state’s institutions and promotion of democratic reforms. The two officials discussed aspects which deal with the Transnistrian conflict settlement, pleading for bolstering confidence between the two sides of the Dniester River at the level of citizens, social society and local public administration. // BASA-Press Publication date: 24 January 2008 Source: Archive
