Moldovan delegation to JCC put forward address which reiterates its willingness to resume negotiationsThe Moldovan delegation to the Joint Control Commission (JCC) put forward an address to the Transnistrian party, signed by Moldovan Interior Minister Gheorghe Papuc, which expresses Chisinau’s willingness to resume the negotiations, Moldovan Representative to JCC Ion Leahu stated for BASA-press. According to Leahu, the first step in this direction is the suggestion to create a common data base which would include information related to the crimes in the security zone and the people who committed them. “There must be cooperation between the parties in order to maintain a mutual balance in the relation with Transnistria and avoid negative situations.” Leahu said. The address was put forward to the Transnistrian party within an ordinary sitting of the JCC on Thursday, January, 17, 2008. Transnistrian representatives are to give an answer at the next sitting of the JCC. The address which reiterates Moldova’s willingness to resume the negotiations with Transnistria was put forward by Representative of Police to JCC Sergiu Golovaci, in August, 2007. The Transnistrian party offered no reply to it. Thus, the interior minister reiterated the call to the JCC. // BASA-Press Publication date: 18 January 2008 Source: Archive
