Occidental experts doubt about Moldova’s chances of accession to EU
Experts from the Occident doubt about Moldova’s chances to join European Union (EU). According to a survey realized by the Centre of European Reforms from London, Moldova has not chances to join EU until 2020, DECA-press informs.
The authors of the survey are the adepts of continuing extending EU, but they think this should concern first Muslim countries. At the same time, they do not exclude the fact that EU could increase its role in the world, including in the context of problems which refer directly to Moldova, such as the Transnistrian region. They recommend in this context a better cooperation with Russia. The good relations with this country will permit EU to contribute to the resolution of some problems in the ex-Soviet area, such as: the process of changes in Belarus and the stabilization of the situation in Ukraine are concerned. // DECA-Press Publication date: 10 January 2008 Source: Archive
