Federal prosecutors say an Egyptian student arrested in South Carolina after a routine traffic stop admitted making a terrorist training video.

An application for a federal search warrant alleged that Ahmed Mohamed told FBI agents he made the video to teach people in the Middle East how to use remote-controlled bombs against U.S. soldiers, The State (Columbia, S.C.) said Thursday.

Prosecutors said a toy remote-control boat and a partially dismantled digital watch were found in the Tampa, Fla., home of Youssef Samir Megahed, who was also arrested during the traffic stop.

Mohamed and Megahed were stopped for speeding last month in Goose Creek, S.C. They were arrested on charges of possessing an explosive device after Berkeley County sheriff’s deputies saw one of the men disconnect some wires from a laptop computer and became suspicious.

Agents found an electronic folder on the computer titled "Bomb Shock," which contained several computer files about explosives, prosecutors said. A federal grand jury indicted the men on charges of transporting explosive materials. // Copyright 2007 by United Press International
