Man sleeps through potential standoff
Police in Indiana who surrounded a house thinking they had a potential standoff situation ultimately found their man inside fast asleep.
County police were called to the home of Paul Slusser in Osceola Wednesday, after receiving word he and his housemate had argued, with Slusser drawing a weapon and the other person fleeing, WNDU-TV in South Bend, Ind., reported. St. Joseph County police arrived at the home and had no luck raising Slusser by phone or over a loudspeaker, the television station reported. “One of the officers noticed it looked like he was just lying on the couch not responding. We were able to get in the house and found him just basically asleep on the couch,” Sgt. Regis Thimons said. Once awakened, Slusser was arrested for criminal recklessness. // Copyright 2007 by United Press International Publication date: 21 September 2007 Source: Archive
