MNA does not rule out conduct of early parliamentary elections in 2008
The Moldova Noastra Alliance does not rule out that the early parliamentary elections can take place in 2008. Moldova Noastra Alliance (MNA) Parliamentarian Vasile Balan said it on Thursday at a seminar, devoted to Moldova's European integration.
The Parliamentarian is sure that after democratic forces come to power in Moldova they will pursue the European integration course truly, but not only limiting themselves to statements, like Communists. Balan accused Communists of creating only a visibility of moving toward Europe, but in the reality they oppose the opposition's initiatives on speeding up this process. He recalled that the Moldova Noastra Alliance (MNA) proposed repeatedly to send an application on joining the EU and on the beginning of talks, but Communists opposed this. The MNA Parliamentarian remarked with pride that after the republican local elections democrats came to power in 21 out of 23 raions, including Chisinau. He considers that it will result in the republic's return onto the democratic development and European integration way. In Balan's opinion, democrats must agree between them in order to remove Communists completely. // Infotag Publication date: 10 August 2007 Source: Archive
