On Tuesday, in time of a press conference, the Alliance „Moldova Noastra” (AMN) summarized the results of the general local elections held this year, DECA-press Agency communicates.
The party is satisfied with these results and it considers that “together, the democratic forces have defeated the Communist Party”.
AMN obtained 189 mandates of mayors of the locality (20,9%), 1987 mandates in the local councils of level one, villages and communes (19,52 %) and 220 mandates in the district and municipal councils (19,61%).
The faction headed by Serafim Urechean considers they had a decisive contribution to the removal of communists from power in most of the district. Thus, as a result of the constitution of post-electoral coalitions, the representatives of democratic parties have come to power in 22 of the 34 territorial-administrative units of level two.
AMN declares that it is ready to contribute to the complete removal of communists from power in 2009. //
