Dumitru Braghis does not exclude that opposition might resume negotiations on joint candidate for mayor of Chisinau

Chairman of the Social Democracy Party (SDP) Dumitru Braghis does not exclude that the opposition parties could resume in the last moment the negotiations to field a common candidate for the position of general mayor of Chisinau municipality, Info-Prim Neo reports.

On Monday, April 2, Dumitru Braghis told a news conference that a serious candidate on the part of all opposition parties would have more chances than several candidates. Thus, it is not excluded the fact that before registering the candidates, the discussions regarding the fielding of a common opposition candidate will be resumed.

If no agreement will be reached, Braghis does not exclude his participation in the local elections.

According to him, SDP is discussing three candidacies for the position of mayor of the capital. The most appropriate will be elected and his name made public after the electoral constituencies will be established. // Info-Prim Neo
