Old explosives found at construction siteAuthorities in Park City, Utah, said they are working to identify explosives uncovered during excavations at a construction site in the Deer Valley area. Park City spokeswoman Phyllis Robinson said 225 construction workers were evacuated from the Montage hotel development Monday after crews discovered packs of explosives that are suspected to be left over from previous mining operations, The Salt Lake Tribune reported Tuesday. "We don't know the details, the volume, the amount or how old the dynamite is," Robinson said Tuesday. Robinson said builder Layton construction and a demolition contractor are filing paperwork with the city's building department to allow for the removal and disposal of the unwanted explosives.
