Police: Anthony's trunk had dead body

The car trunk of Casey Anthony, mother of missing Florida child Caylee Marie, once held a dead body, police investigators have alleged.

Investigators allege that tests of Anthony's car indicated that at one point in time its trunk held a decomposing human body, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel said Thursday. In relation to the findings, authorities have asked Anthony to lead them to her daughter in exchange for a limited-immunity deal.

The proposed deal would ensure that any information that Anthony provides in the recovery of her missing 3-year-old would not be used against her in court.

Anthony has been one of the main suspects in the July disappearance of her daughter and has been accused of not helping authorities in their attempt to find the missing child.

Bounty hunter Leonard Padilla told the Sentinel that since he helped bail Anthony out of jail, the mother has allegedly done nothing to help in the search for Caylee.

She has not communicated with us at all, Padilla alleged. She has no interest in communicating with us.
