Militants seize strategic Somalian town

More than 100 masked Islamic militiamen seized control of Hudur, a strategic town in southwest Somalia.

There was no resistance, the BBC reported.

They told inhabitants they were al-Shabab militants, who are opposed to Ethiopian troops in the country.

Meanwhile, insurgents were reported to have attacked a camp in Mogadishu. The camp houses government troops and those of their allies, the Ethiopians.
