Two guilty pleas in London terror trialTwo British Muslims accused in the plot to bomb trans-Atlantic airliners pleaded guilty Monday to conspiring to commit public nuisance, officials said. Arafat Waheed Khan and Waheed Zaman admitted they conspired to commit public nuisance by distributing videos about suicide bombings in Britain, The Times of London reported. Five of six other co-defendants pleaded guilty to the same charge last week. The guilty pleas came while defense lawyers summed up their cases as the three-month terror trial draws to a close. Jurors still must decide if the eight men are guilty of conspiring to undertake a suicide bombing on the trans-Atlantic flight. All eight defendants face two charges of conspiracy to murder, the British newspaper said. Prosecutors alleged the men plotted to kill thousands of airline passengers by smuggling home-made liquid bombs on flights from London Heathrow Airport to cities in North America.
