Transdniestria conflict settlement talks could resume next week
The mediators and observers to the Transdniestria conflict settlement talks will have separate meetings with the Moldovan and Transdniestrian authorities on July 21 and 22. An informal joint meeting in the 5+2 format is expected to be held on July 23. The meeting will aim at restarting the talks that were stopped more than two years ago.
The agenda of the meetings was discussed by the EU Special Representative for Moldova Kalman Mizsei and Minister of Reintegration Vasilii Sova at a meeting on July 16. The Transdniestria conflict settlement talks were halted in February 2006 amid misunderstandings between the conflicting sides.//REPORTER.MD Publication date: 18 July 2008 Source: Archive
