Chechen roadside bomb kills commander

A Russian Interior Ministry troop commander was killed and two troops were wounded Saturday in a roadside bombing in Chechnya, officials said.

A convoy of three armored personnel carriers was near the village of Belgatoi when an explosive device detonated, killing a unit commander who was in the truck, sources told the ITAR-TASS news agency.

Other two servicemen, including the truck's driver, were injured.
