New Government has not yet managed to fully assert itself, Premier says
Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanyi summed up the results achieved by the Council of Ministers during 100 days of its appointment. According to the Premier, the new Government has not yet managed to fully assert itself in this period.
Greceanyi said that certain changes in the Council of Ministers still go on, but she assured that when the situation stabilizes, the modifications made by the Government will begin to produce results. “We encounter difficulties, objective or subjective, but after 100 days of activity I can say that our program, even if ambitious, is realistic and achievable,” the Premier said. “Only when the decision-making process is debureaucratized and the quality of governance improved, will we be able to strengthen the dialogue with the civil society and carry out concrete activities within the period of time available,” Greceanyi said. Greceanyi also said that headway was made with the Transdniestria conflict settlement talks. “The problems cannot be solved so quickly, but I’m sure that the things will change to the better,” Greceanyi stressed.//REPORTER.MD Publication date: 09 July 2008 Source: Archive
