Coaltion kills at least 12 Afghan fightersNATO coalition troops killed more than a dozen Afghan militants Saturday in a confrontation in country's Nuristan province, military officials say. U.S.-led coalition troops responded to mortar fire with a ground and helicopter assault assault and two vehicles carrying fleeing fighters were destroyed, CNN reported. Military leaders also said they were talking to Afghan officials about reports of civilian casualties in the incident, CNN said.
