Moldova, OSCE stand for restarting of 5+2 talks
Moldova and the OSCE stand for a soonest-possible resumption of the 5+2 negotiations and for dialog between the residents of both Dniester River banks, Moldovan Parliament Chairman Marian Lupu and the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Ambassador Philip Remler stated during their meeting in the Moldovan Parliament.
The interlocutors stressed the Transnistrian conflict settlement must be based on strict observance of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova. The parties also discussed developments taking place in and around the Gagauzia Popular Assembly, and expressed concern about the situation around the election of new speakers of that autonomous region’s legislative forum. Marian Lupu and Philip Remler spoke out for settling the situation there within the framework of law.// Infotag Publication date: 27 June 2008 Source: Archive
