Vladimir Voronin sees only three viable political parties in 2009
"The Christian Democratic People’s Party (PPCD) is the oldest political party in Moldova is. It will turn 20 years soon. The Communist Party (PCRM) will be 15. So, we are younger. The serious parties that should be chosen in 2009 are PCRM on the left wing, the center party PDM (Democratic Party of Moldova) and PPCD on the right wing", President Vladimir Voronin said during the program “Conversations with the President”, broadcast by the television channel NIT on May 30.
Speaking about the 2009 parliamentary elections, the head of state assured that they will be held according to all the democratic rules. "The course of the country depends on the election results,” Voronin stressed, saying that the people should not vote for such politicians as Chirtoaca in 2009. “The unsatisfied Chisinau residents should hold a referendum to discharge the mayor. I, as resident of Chisinau, will go to the polls and vote for dismissing the mayor of the capital city,” Voronin said // Reporter.MD Publication date: 02 June 2008 Source: Archive
