CE reiterates readiness to contribute to settlement of problems in Transdniestria conflict settlement process
The Council of Europe is ready to actively assist in solving the problems appearing during the Transdniestria conflict settlement process, the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe in Moldova Vladimir Ristovski told Minister of Reintegration Vasilii Sova at a meeting on May 20.
The two officials discussed the process of implementing the measures aimed at building confidence between Chisinau and Tiraspol. Ristovski reiterated that the Council of Europe is disposed to contribute to the settlement of the problems existing in the negotiating process. According to a communiqu? from the Ministry of Reintegration, the Council of Europe intends to provide technical assistance in the area of human rights protection and education so as to establish a common information space. It will also assist in insuring exchanges of experience between the European institutions and the NGOs from both banks of the Dniester.
