Moldova takes part in Meeting of SEECP Foreign Affairs Ministers
Moldova is participating today in the Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) held in the Bulgarian town of Pomorie under the auspices of the SEECP President, Bulgaria.
Moldova is represented by Foreign Minister Andrei Stratan. According to the Moldovan Foreign Ministry, the participation of the Moldovan delegation to the SEECP meeting is important because Moldova will take over the SEECP Presidency for 2008-2009 from Bulgaria on May 21. The agenda of the meeting includes issues concerning the political-economic situation in the region, the progress made by the Southeastern European states on the path to European integration etc. The SEECP Foreign Ministers will also approve a number of documents such as the report on the activities carried out by the SEECP President, Bulgaria, and the Joint Pomorie Statement. The Moldovan Foreign Minister will present a report on the priorities and program of activity of Moldova, while it will hold the SEECP Presidency in 2008-2009 // Reporter.MD Publication date: 20 May 2008 Source: Archive
