Chairman of Russia’s Federation Council of Federal Assembly to visit Moldova
The Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Sergey Mironov will pay an official visit to Moldova during May 18-20 at the invitation of the Moldova Speaker Marian Lupu. The Russian official will be accompanied by a delegation composed of members of the Federation Council and representatives of the central public authorities.
According to the Parliament’s press service, the visit is aimed at strengthening the Moldovan-Russian political dialogue and at developing the political, economic and commercial relations between the two states. Sergey Mironov will have meetings with President Vladimir Voronin, Speaker Marian Lupu and Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanyi. The program of the visit also includes meetings with Moldovan businesspeople, laying of flowers at the Memorial Complex “Eternity” and a visit to the Slavonic University of Moldova.
