Ukraine and Lithuania will develop the relations with Moldova and support it in its efforts to become part of the European family. Such a stipulation is contained in a joint declaration signed by the presidents of the two states, Victor Yushchenko and Valdas Adamkus, in Vilnius on May 12.

According to the presidential press service of Lithuania, the two heads of state agreed to make concerted effort to build a united and democratic Europe and to sensitize the international community to the frozen conflicts existing in Moldova and Georgia.

Yushchenko and Adamkus underlined that the recent agreements reached by Moldova and Ukraine will help finalize the demarcation of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border, including the Transdniestrian segment // Reporter.MD
