Six Indian citizens die on trip to NiagaraA crash on an interstate highway in western Pennsylvania killed six Indian citizens heading to Niagara Falls from their homes in Michigan. Four of the dead worked for Syntel Inc. in Troy, Mich., the Detroit Free Press reported. Two women killed in the crash were married to male victims. There was only one survivor, the Erie Times-News said. Nitin Gupta was not hurt in the crash but suffered some minor injuries when he was pulled out of the van. Kranthi Bandaru, who was in another van, said 13 people were making the trip to Niagara Falls on the border between New York and Ontario. He told the Times-News the entire group had just eaten lunch together and returned to I-90. Within minutes, he got a cell phone call about the crash and his van turned back to the scene. Police said the driver of the van, Kaushak Deb, lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median and flipped over, landing on a westbound car driven by Melanie Cesnick of Avon Lake, Ohio. She was injured. Copyright 2008 by United Press InternationalPublication date: 12 May 2008 Source: UPI-1-20080512-01200800-bc-us-sixdead.xml Archive
