You've got to be careful of other people today -- not because they want to stab you in the back, but just because they might all be running off in their own directions. They're slightly out of control!

More Philly officers in beating probe

A total of 13 Philadelphia police officers are now caught up in an investigation of an arrest videotaped by a news crew that showed suspects beaten and kicked.

Seven officers identified by an examination of an enhanced copy the Fox 29 videotape were placed on administrative leave Thursday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. One sergeant and 12 officers are under investigation.

The arrest occurred Monday night after a narcotics team on stakeout witnessed a shooting. Three suspects were taken into custody soon after and charged with aggravated assault.

The Rev. Al Sharpton, who interviewed the mother of one of the suspects on his radio show, called the beating worse than Rodney King.

Los Angeles police were caught on video in the early '90s beating King after a traffic stop. Their acquittal in a criminal trial was followed by riots in Los Angeles.

Philadelphia officials have criticized police behavior in this week's incident.

The conduct was unacceptable, Mayor Michael Nutter said in a CNN interview. It did not live up to the standards we have set for the Police Department.
