Colleges accept more wait-listed studentsSeveral leading U.S. universities plan to accept significantly higher numbers of students from waiting lists this year than in the past, school officials said. Harvard, Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania are among the nation's top universities considering accepting higher numbers of students from waiting lists this year, The New York Times reported. It is reported Harvard is preparing to accept 150 to 175 students from the waiting list, while the University of Pennsylvania and Princeton are each planning to admit 90 students from such lists. As top schools accept more students from waiting lists, they crate a domino effect that trickles to other schools, prompting them to do the same, the Times said.
