Next Friday, the oppositional National Liberal Party will mark the declaration of the independence of Romania [May 9, 1877], the victory by “the coalition of the United Nations” over fascism in the Second World War, and the Europe Day. The party has received from the Chisinau City Hall permission to hold a rally in front of the National Opera and Ballet Theater from 1pm to 5pm on May 9.
The National Liberal Party wrote in its press advisory today that readiness to take part in the rally has already been stated by local European-orientation parties, the Democratic Forum of the Romanians, and creative unions such as the Union of Journalists of Moldova, and other. The National Liberals have invited to the rally “all who stand for Moldova’s European future, for democracy and freedom”. // Infotag Publication date: 06 May 2008 Source: Archive
