Vladimir Voronin to spend Easter Holidays with his family in Chisinau

Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin will spend the Easter Holidays with his family in Chisinau, while Speaker Marian Lupu will visit with his family the birthplace and his parents-in-law.

Asked by BASA-press, sources from the Presidency press service noted that following the church service on the Resurrection night in the “Falling Asleep of Mother of Christ” Cathedral, the head of state will go home, where he will spend Easter with his family. “During the holidays, the traditional dishes among which the Easter cake, red eggs and red meat will not be missing from the holiday table of the president”, the cited source specified.

Sources from the Parliament press service noted that traditionally, following the church service on the Resurrection night, the Speaker of Parliament with his family goes to his parents and parents-in-law. “Traditional dishes are the most waited on the holiday table. The sanctified Easter cake, red eggs and red meat will not be missing from the table this year too”, said the cited source.

Also, sources from the press service of the Government Office specified for BASA-press that Premier Zinaida Greceanii will also spend Easter Holidays together with her family. “It is a tradition that this holiday is spent in the family. This year too, the traditional dishes on the holiday table will include red eggs, Easter cakes and meat and rice rolls”, told the cited sources.

At the same time, sources from the Public Relations Department of Chisinau City Hall noted that Mayor of Chisinau, Dorin Chirtoaca, has not decided yet where exactly he would spend the Easter holidays, but he is certain to spend them together with his family.

Easter, the most important holiday of Christians, or the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, is an occasion for people to live moments of holly happiness, but also to celebrate within the community.
