Voronin and Smirnov agreed upon necessity of convoking common working groups to bolster confidence measures between Chisinau and TiraspolMoldovan President Vladimir Voronin and breakaway Transnistrian leader Igor Smirnov met on Friday, April, 11, in Tighina following a seven-year pause. Sources within the Presidential Apparatus stated for BASA-press that the two leaders discussed the prospects of continuing the dialog between Chisinau and Tiraspol and established some real measures to intensify the negotiation process.
