Vladimir Filat: „Voronin\'s decision to meet Smirnov is strange”
„Vladimir Voronin's decision to meet Igor Smirnov is strange”, Vladimir Filat, leader of the Liberal-Democratic Party from Moldova (PLDM), considers, cited by DECA-press Agency.
He asserts that this decision cannot be appreciated otherwise because „in the last few years, the president of the country declared many times that Igor Smirnov was is a criminal and he doesn't even intend to negotiate with him”. The leader of PLDM is wandering: „if Voronin accepts to negotiate with Smirnov, why did we lose so much time to solve the Transnistrian problem?”. Vladimir Filat believes that, before this meeting, some information about the scheduled negotiations has been heard in the Parliament. At the same time, an action of plan has been aproved due to which the Transnistrian conflict would be solved. // DECA-Press Publication date: 11 April 2008 Source: Archive
