The opposition treats the new Government and its program with scepticism
Deputies from the opposition do not treat with trust the new Cabinet of Ministers ad the governing program „Progress and Integration”, presented on Monday, in the plenary sitting of the Parliament, DECA-press trasmits.
The leader of „Moldova Noastra” Alliance, Serafim Urechean, said that „the program of the Government doesn’t contain anything new, and the declared priorities discredit the term of priority”. The prime-deputy-prime-minister AMN, Veaceslav Untila, attracted the attention on the fact that the new Government is new only at the level of declaration, because of 21 members of the Government, only six are new. In her speach, Vitalia Pavlicenco, the leader of the National-Liberal Party from Moldova, said that the program contains only nonsense and will not contribute to the improvement of the situation from the country. „Soon, we will launch a Government from the shadow which will carefully monitor everything what the new executive does”, Pavlicenco said. Liderul Partidului Democrat din Moldova, Dumitru Diacov, a spus cã deºi nou cabinet de miniºtri este bun, iar prim-ministrul Zinaida Greaceanii un bun profesionist, membrii PDM nu îl vor vota. „Unfortunately, we are in an electoral year, and the new Government aims at improving the situation before elections. We hope anyway that the new ministers will prove to be independent”, Diacov specified. The leader of the Social-Democratic Party, Dumitru Braghis, qualified the program „Progress and integration” as a declarative, political and populist one. „The program is empty and it is used to cheat the population, because parliamentary elections from 2009 are approaching”, Braghis criticizes. The leader of the Christian-Democratic People’s Party, Iurie Rosca, has highly appreciated the ministers’ professionalism, especially the one of Igor Dodon, Mariana Durlesteanu, Andrei Stratan. „I believe that with Zinaida Greceanii, the new Government will make concrete decisions, necessary for the development of the country”, Rosca also said. // DECA-Press Publication date: 01 April 2008 Source: Archive
