You need to strut your stuff today -- no matter where you are! It's an odd day for sure, but you can make up for the worst of it by just letting people know what you're made of and what you can do with it.

The elections from Gagauzia correspond to international standards

„The elections in the National Assembly of UTA Gagauzia were held according to international norms, despite the fact some disorders have been recorded too” - this is the conclusion the members of the delegation of the Congress of local and regional authorities of Council of Europe, that monitored the elections from March 16th, came to.

In time of the press conference held on Monday, Karsten Behr, the head of the delegation said that, at some ballot boxes from Gagauzia, the atmosphere was friendly, and the members of the electoral board were very careful.

„Yet, some disorders have been discovered too. They are as follows: the vote in the family, when several persons entered the polling booth, bad-quality paper on which electoral lists were printed on, so that it could be seen who voted for who, the placement of polling stations at higher floors”, Behr specified.

They recommend the Central Electoral Commission the urgent introduction of the electronic register of the electorate.

The delegation of the Congress of local and regional authorities of Council of Europe will elaborate soon a larger survey about the elections from March 16th.// DECA-Press
