Political analysts believe that at the elections from Gagauzia, the parties „have collapsed”
Political analysts believe that, at the elections from Gagauzia, the parties „have collapsed”. Declarations in this context have been made on Monday evening, in time of the program „In PROfunzime”, broadcast by the TV channel „PRO-TV-Chisinau”.
The analyst Petru Bogatu declared that even the Communist Party didn't manage to get a great number of mandates (only three – after the first round). The Republican People's Party hasn't confirmed its ascension too. Only two parties, except communists, managed to get mandates of deputies in AP – two mandates have been obtained by the Democratic Party and one – by the social-political movement „Ravnopravie”. The independent candidates have got 12 mandates. The director of the radio post „Free Europe” in Moldova, Vasile Botnaru, said that „now, the cards haven't taken the side of the communists” and proved to doubt about the fact this thing could happen after the second round. Petru Bogatu declared that, in this situation, it is not exclude there will be formed a large post-electoral coalition in the National Assembly of Gagauzia, where both representatives of democratic parties and independent deputies, as well as of PCRM could participate. // DECA-Press Publication date: 18 March 2008 Source: Archive
