The elections in the Gagazian legislative body will be monitored by 77 international observers

The elections in the National Assembly of Gagauzia (the legislative body of the autonomy) will be monitored by 77 international observers who have been already accredited by the Central Election Commission (CEC), DECA-press Agency informs.

According to the data of CEC, they will represent: the Congress of Local and Regional Powers of Council of Europe – 11 persons; the Office of the Special Representative of the European Union for Republic of Moldova – 1 person; OSCE Mission to Moldova – 21 persons; the Embassy of the Czech Republic – 1 person; the Embassy of Turkey to Republic of Moldova - 7 persons; the US Embassy to Republic of Moldova – 16 persons; the Embassy of Poland to Republic of Moldova – 2 persons; the Senate of Romania – 2 persons; Eurasia Foundation – 5 persons; the International Republican Institute - 5 persons; the National Democratic Institute - persons.

At the same time, the elections will be also monitored by several local observers, but they are not accredited by CEC, they are registered by the local electoral authority. // DECA-Press
