The Prosecution asserts that Cubreacov\'s case will not be closed until prosecutor do not have access to Transnistria
The case of kidnapping in 2002 for nearly three months of deputy Vlad Cubreacov, vice-president of the Christian-Democratic People's Party (PPCD), will not be closed until prosecutors do not have access in the Transnistrian region – the general prime-vice-prosecutor Vasile Pascari declared on Thursday, in the Parliament.
DECA-press transmits that Vasile Pascari presneted the deputies some information about the investigation in this case at the request of non-afiliated deputy Valentin Cusnir. Vasile Pascari asserts that the prosecution examines the version declared by Vlad Cubreacov according to which he had been kept on the territory of the Transnistrian region and that they must go to the left bank of the Nistru River. At the same time, the police from the Transnistrian region refuse the cooperation. According to his words, at present, two variants are examined: the fact that Vlad Cubreacov was kidnapped and the fact he was kept on the territory of the Transnistrian region; as well as the fact that his kidnapping was imitated by the leaders of PPCD to destabilize the social-political situation from the republic. Within the second variant, Christian-democratic leaders and former members of PPCD are heard. They declared before that Vlad Cubreacov's kidnapping had been imitated by the leaders of the faction. Pascari communicated that, on March 11th, a confrontation will be organized at the prosecution between them. // DECA-Press Publication date: 07 March 2008 Source: Archive
