The European Party (EP) is concerned about the worsening of relations in the opposition. It considers that this could have only negative impact in perspective of parliamentary elections from 2009, DECA-press transmits.
Viorel Ghimpu, leader of EP, declared for DECA-press that, in the last period of time, there were several conflicts among the democrats both, in the Parliament and in the Municipal Council of Chisinau.
„This fact puts the Communist Party on a good place. It doesn't even need to make any effort to discredit the opposition. Democrats offer good evidence of lack of unit among them by themselves. Usually, the elector will ask the question: How will the democrats be able to understand each other, form coalitions and govern after elections, if they fight and quarrel regularly?”, he asked.
The leader of PE asserts that the conflict among parties is a habitual thing within a democratic society. Yet, he affirms that this conflict must not exceed the borders of the political culture and of the good sense. //
