President Vladimir Voronin opts for having good relations with Romania. He made this declaration on Friday evening, in time of a program broadcast by the TV channel NIT, DECA-press informs.
The head of the state mentioned that the good relations between the two countries have no alternative, because „Romania will never disappear from the map as well as Moldova”.
„I opt for having good relations with our neighbours and we must forget about all the misunderstandings we had before or about some historic reasons”, Vladimir Voronin also said.
He declared that, at this moment, Moldova and Romania „are two independent neighbouring countries which must be in good terms”.
Vladimir Voronin avoided speaking about the decision of the Romanian Patriarchy not to resume the activity of the three eparchies from the territory of the Republic of Moldova. He said that this is the problem of Patriarchies from Bucharest and Moscow, which discussed the problem and had probably come to a definite conclusion. //
