Yulia Tymoshenko to be treated in Berlin

Ukraine and Germany are holding talks about the way to hospitalize Yulia Tymoshenko, the Ukrainian ex-premier, reports RIA Novosti, quoting the German DPA news agency.

The sides have identified a hospital in Berlin where Ms. Tymoshenko might be treated.

“The Federal Government is holding talks with the Ukrainian Government, in order to hospitalize Ms. Tymoshenko in a German healthcare institution.

According to the National Penitentiary of Ukraine, Yulia Tymoshenko has declined several times from treatment which was prescribed to her. Her attorneys confirmed she needs a special treatment.

Her health worsened after she was imprisoned in August 2011. According to the guardians from the jail, she has difficulties moving and walking because of backbone sorrows.

Yulia Tymoshenko is imprisoned for seven years for misfeasance signing some contracts with Russia.
