Will Moldova have a better conflict resolution?
The conflict in Transnistria has chances to have a better management. The Moldovan Premier, Vlad Filat will have a meeting with the head of Transnistria, Evgheni Shevchuk tomorrow, January 27, in Odessa, Ukraine.
The agenda implies perspectives of bargaining about the Transnistrian issue, as well as the steps which will be made in order to overcome the harsh problems the population from the region deals with.
The meeting will be a preparatory talk before the new round of official negotiations in format “5+2”, which will be held in February 2012 in Dublin, Ireland. Official negotiations were re-enabled in Vilnius during November 30 – December 1, 2011, after a 5-year-long break.
Transnistria is a breakaway region of Moldova, which went apart from Moldova after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
