Wholesale prices on gasoline raised by 6%
The wholesale prices on gasoline А95 and А92 increased by 0.5 lei (7.4%), А80 – by 0.2 lei (3%), the prices on А98 and diesel remained unchanged.
The price increase on oil products began about a week ago and at present it involved all the importers.
For example, the wholesale price of the Lukoil Moldova company, which the largest importer of oil products in Moldova, constitutes currently 6.8 lei, gasoline А98 - 8 lei, А95 – 7.3 lei, А92 – 72 lei, А80 – 6.8 lei.
In the importers’ words, the main reason for the price increase is the increase of the disbursing price by US$100 per ton by the producers and the decline of the Leu exchange rate against the main currencies.
The previous change of the wholesale prices was at the beginning of March. That time, the gasoline price dropped by 0.6 (7.6%) lei and the diesel price – by 0.45 lei (6.2%).
The last change of the retail prices at filling stations was registered on March 2 – the gasoline price dropped by 0.2 lei (2.2%), diesel– by 0.7 lei (6.8%).
The price on diesel at filling stations is currently 9.57 lei, Eurodiesel – 10.07 lei. Gasoline А98 is sold for 9.17 lei per liter, А95 – 8.77 lei, А92 – 8.37 lei.
The price on liquefied petroleum gas was not changed at filling stations and constitutes 4.47 lei.
The maximal diesel price (15.3 lei) and the gasoline A95 price (14.8 lei) at filling stations in Moldova was registered in May 2008; since that time the diesel price was declined by 37.5% and the gasoline price - by 40,7%.
