Voronin named the political party and the politician guilty of the political crisis
The leader of the Communist party organized a press conference where he declared guilty for the actual political crisis the Democratic Party of Moldova and the politician Marian Lupu the ex-leading member of the communist party which left it, and adhered to the Democratic Party after the presidential elections organized afterwards the events on the 9th of April 2009.
The ex-President of the Country declared that “The Democratic Party is guilty of the current situation, because of DP the president was not elected, because of DP the political crisis aggravated”. Also in his usual sarcastic manner Voronin compared the politician Marian Lupu with a baby, mentioning that: “We must walk in the all republic to calm down this 2 meters baby, Mariancic, to give him the toy when he wants and how he wants?”
These declarations are made in the context of the beginning of the electoral competition, and presumably with the aim of discrediting the charismatic leader of the Democratic Party, Marian Lupu. According to the recent sociological and statistical data the Democratic Party is one of the most popular political parties in the country.
We must mention that the leader of the communist party, Vladimir Voronin, attacked verbally Lupu in the past. And possible the attacks on one of the biggest political rivals of the Communist Party will increase closer to the elections with the aim of lowering his popularity.
Earlier the members of the communist party refused twice to elect the President of the Country. The official candidate at the last presidential elections proposed by the Alliance for the European Integration was Marian Lupu. One of the motives declared by the communists of their refuse to elect the president and solve the political crisis was the fact that Lupu was the only and irrevocable candidate proposed by the Alliance to the function of President.
