Voronin asks Medvedev in Moscow for support before election
On the 68th anniversary since the beginning of the Second World War, the Moldovan president Vladimir Voronin, who was in a visit to Moscow, participated in a ceremony of laying wreaths of flowers to the monument of the Unknown Soldier, DECA-press Agency informs.
According to the press service of the Kremlin administration, Voronin was laying wreaths of flowers together with Russian president Dmitri Medvedev and other officials from the Russian Federation.
The press service of the Moldovan Presidency announced that in Moscow Vladimir Voronin discusses “some aspects related to the current study of Moldo-Russian relations and the perspectives of development of bilateral relations”, including with his Russian counterpart.
The press from Moscow wrote that Voronin’s goal is to ask Dmitri Medvedev for moral and financial support before the anticipated parliamentary elections from 29 July.
Vladimir Voronin went to Moscow at Dmitri Medvedev’s invitation.
The last time, Voronin visited Moscow in March, before the parliamentary elections held on April 5.
