Vlad Filat: Moldovan-Romanian agreements still valid after the Romanian Government breakdown
The bilateral relations of the Republic of Moldova and Romania should not be affected by the political changes taking place in one country or the other, said the Moldovan Premier Vlad Filat. The statement comes after Ungureanu Government of Romania collapsed and a new Premier was appointed.
Vlad Filat said that he has friendly relations with the new Romanian Premier Victor Ponta and had several phone conversations with him since his appointment, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Mr. Filat emphasized that the agreements signed with the former Government of Romania are not subject to any cancellation or modification.
Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti will reiterate the commitment for the agreements signed by the Governments of Romania and Moldova during his visit to Bucharest which is due to take place tomorrow.
