Turkey might lift visa requirements for Moldovans
Citizens of the Republic of Moldova might freely travel to Turkey by the end of this year. Moldovan authorities are working closely with the Turkish officials to develop a strategy which might be signed during the next visit of Prime Minister Vlad Filat to Ankara this year.
Moldovan Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca is hopeful that experts of both countries will meet soon to negotiate the agreement regarding the free travel of Moldovans to the Republic of Turkey.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, who is visiting Moldova these days, said the talks on the liberalization of visa regime have to be finished soon.
Moldovans travelling to Turkey are required to bear a visa. It costs $30. A 90 days Turkish visa can be obtained on arrival at any point of entry into Turkey.
