Top managers of Moldovan public TV sacked
The supervisory board of the public company Teleradio-Moldova has dismissed its director-general, Valentin Todercan, and the director of the Moldova One TV channel, Adela Raileanu, Moldova One reported on 30 December.
The channel showed the secretary of the board, Eugen Ribca, saying that the two had been dismissed for violating the Audiovisual Code and labour laws. In particular, they defied the provisions concerning pluralism of opinion and political balance, she said.
Todercan and Raileanu will perform their duties for about two weeks until new managers are appointed, Ribca added.
