Tiraspol calls on Moldova to establish good neighbor relations with Transnistria
Transnistria must call on Moldova's authorities "to recognize Transnistrian Moldovan Republic (TMR) as a sovereign, independent state and to establish with it good neighbor relationships". The proposal was formulated is in the resolution of the international theoretical and practical conference "20 Years of Transnistrian Moldovan Republic", which took place in Tiraspol.
Conference delegates said the recognition is very necessary, "proceeding from historical and present political actions and considering native interests of Moldovan and Transnistrian populations".
The conference has also decided to appeal to the UNO, to governments and parliaments of the world countries with a proposal to recognize TMR as a full-right subject of the international law, and as a democratic and peaceful state.
According to the forum participants, "the TMR's creation is caused by free expressed will of Transnistrian population, by realizing his right to self-determination and the creation of an independent state".
They said "the today republic represents a full fledged peaceful state with a developed economical system, with controlled law and order, with a full social life and spiritual wealth, which tends to join the world state system".
"The present international law is more depreciated, distorted and falsified for last decades, and becomes "the law of a strong people", "the law of dual standards", which impedes Transnistria to legitimize its statehood on legal basis and to become a full fledged member of the UNO", members of the conference said.
